ICUNOW is the only software product that makes it possible to conduct encrypted online meetings, using all the media needed to communicate effectively - voice, video, application sharing, file transfers, and white board. Patented technology delivers content by connecting to H.323 and SIP devices, and dealing with Network Address Translation (NAT), so that anyone on your network with Internet access can be brought to a meeting using ICUNOW.
ICUNOW is a Server Class product, Windows compatible, that can be easily configured to meet your requirements in terms of security policies, encryption protocols, VPN access, and anticipated number of participants. Unlike subscription-based services, ICUNOW is under your complete control, providing a safe environment for users dealing with sensitive material. Sessions can be recorded for later playback, and totally interactive exchanges can be alternated with presentation-style meetings. Either way, security and flexibility are as close as the click of a mouse - or even the keys on your cell phone. Road Warriors are not excluded.
Zone Architecture
The ICUNOW server software is organized in Zones, as per the H.323 standard.
Each Zone must have at least one Gatekeeper (additional Gatekeepers are
optional and may be used as backup), one Queue Server, and one Media Server.
It should be noted that the number of Queue Servers and Media Servers within
a single Zone is limited by the capacity of the Gatekeeper that monitors
them. A single Gatekeeper can monitor approximately 300 servers. Although
each Zone is hosted on a web server, that same server can host several Zones,
and a single Database Server can accommodate more than one Zone.
Minimal Zone configuration
ICUNOW operates on a simple Core principle that includes four software processes:
1 GateKeeper 1 Web Server plus Database Server 1 Queue Server 1 to 10 Media
Servers, depending on the number of simultaneous users
Larger Zone Architecture
ICUNOW delivers a scalable solution for online meetings applications. The
example below show how the software may be applied in interactive TV or
broadcast stations, but it is equally applicable to military or healthcare
needs.
Maximum number of users per Zone
Based on estimates for a Zone that includes 10 Media Servers, the maximum
number of users is approximately 25,000. This is based on a number of variables,
and the fact that meetings, by their very nature, preclude the simultaneous
participation by all members.
